The Bersa Thunder 9 Pro XT is the specialized, competition-ready flagship of the Thunder Pro line. Developed with input from professional sport shooters, it is designed for disciplines like USPSA, IPSC, and IDPA. It is essentially a "long-slide" version of the standard service pistol, tuned for maximum accuracy and speed.
Long-Slide Design: The XT features a 5-inch competition-grade barrel and an extended slide. The increased sight radius and added weight at the muzzle help with precision and recoil management.
Competition Sights: It comes factory-equipped with a high-visibility red fiber-optic front sight and a fully adjustable LPA target rear sight (adjustable for windage and elevation).
Tuned Action: Unlike the standard duty models, the XT features a hand-fitted barrel, slide, and frame assembly. The trigger is custom-tuned for a shorter reset and a cleaner break in single-action mode.
Recoil Management: The frame is constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. By omitting the accessory rail found on the standard Pro model, the "solid" dust cover adds weight to the front of the pistol, helping to keep the muzzle flat during rapid fire.
Fully Ambidextrous: It retains the signature Bersa ambidextrous slide catch and safety/decocker levers. The magazine release is reversible for left-handed use.
Package Value: In a nod to competitive shooters, the Pro XT traditionally ships with five 17-round magazines to ensure the user is match-ready out of the box.
