The CZ P-07 is a compact, polymer-framed, hammer-fired pistol that represents the "next generation" of the CZ 75 lineage. Originally introduced as the CZ 75 P-07 Duty, the model was updated in 2014 (dropping the "Duty" moniker) to include interchangeable backstraps, improved metal sights, and a smoother trigger. It is designed to bridge the gap between traditional hammer-fired reliability and the lightweight modularity of modern polymer handguns.
Omega Trigger System: The P-07 was the first CZ to feature the Omega trigger, a simplified mechanism with fewer moving parts. Its greatest advantage is being convertible: the user can easily swap between a decocking lever (for a Double-Action first pull) or a manual safety (for "Cocked & Locked" carry) using parts included in the box.
Low Bore Axis: Like its steel predecessors, the P-07 features an internal slide-in-frame design. This keeps the barrel axis low, directing recoil straight back into the hand and minimizing muzzle flip for faster follow-up shots.
Compact Versatility: Sized similarly to a Glock 19, the P-07 is small enough for concealed carry but large enough to serve as a duty or home defense firearm.
Enhanced Ergonomics: The 2014 update added three interchangeable backstraps (S, M, L) to accommodate different hand sizes. The frame also features aggressive texturing and forward slide serrations for improved manipulation in adverse conditions.
Accessory Rail: A standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on the dust cover allows for the mounting of lights or lasers.
Nitro-Finish Slide: The steel slide is treated with a corrosion-resistant nitride finish, providing a tough, matte black exterior.
