The CZ P-10 C is a striker-fired, polymer-framed compact pistol that was designed to be a direct "Glock 19 killer." While CZ is famous for its hammer-fired guns, the P-10 C (the "C" stands for Compact) proved they could master the striker-fired market. It is widely regarded as having one of the best out-of-the-box factory triggers in its class, characterized by a distinct "wall," a crisp break, and an incredibly short reset.
Superior Trigger: Unlike the "mushy" feel often found in striker-fired guns, the P-10 C trigger breaks clean at approximately 4.5–5 lbs. The reset is exceptionally short and tactile, allowing for very rapid and accurate follow-up shots.
Aggressive Ergonomics: The grip features very aggressive stippling that "locks" the gun into your hand. It utilizes a deep beavertail and a low bore axis (similar to the CZ 75), which helps drive the recoil straight back into the palm rather than upward.
Build Quality: The slide is treated with a hardy Nitride finish, and the frame is made of fiberglass-reinforced polymer. It is designed to be "tactical" with a large trigger guard for gloved use and a standard Picatinny rail.
Ambidextrous Controls: It features a flat, ambidextrous slide stop. Note that earlier models had an ambidextrous magazine release that was famously stiff; modern versions (post-2019) have a single reversible magazine button that is much smoother to operate.
Sights: Standard models ship with metal three-dot luminescent sights. The rear sight has a "tactical racking edge" designed to allow for one-handed slide manipulation against a belt or hard surface.
CZ recently expanded the line with the CZ P-10 C Ported. This model is the current "top-tier" version of the compact series:
Integrated Compensator: Features a large port near the muzzle to vent gases upward, significantly reducing muzzle flip.
Heavier Barrel: Includes a cold-hammer-forged barrel that is 10% heavier than the standard version for added stability.
Optics-Ready (OR): This model comes standard with the optics-cut slide, using the same sight configuration as the new CZ P-09 Nocturne series.
Trigger: The CZ is almost universally considered to have the better factory trigger.
Grip Angle: The CZ has a more "natural" (upright) grip angle compared to the steeper Glock angle.
Holsters: While the P-10 C is very similar in size to the G19, it is slightly wider, so it only fits in some (but not all) Glock 19 holsters.
