Designed to help students develop a better understanding of the parent role and become more prepared for parenting responsibilities. It is also intended to discourage adolescent pregnancy, not through flagrant renunciation of adolescent behaviors, but by encouraging thoughtful examination of the many advantages of delayed parenthood. Designed for male and female secondary school students, it is aimed primarily at any student intending to become a parent at some time in the future. However, students who may already be teen parents will also gain increased parenting skills while contributing valuable insights to the many challenges confronting adolescent parents. Fifteen ready-to-use daily sessions are presented with reproducible handouts, worksheets, transparencies, and numerous activities.
