ZOLL AED Plus with Real CPR Help®
The ZOLL AED Plus is designed to guide rescuers through both defibrillation
and high-quality CPR during a sudden cardiac arrest emergency. ZOLL's
Real CPR Help® technology provides real-time feedback on
chest-compression rate and depth, while clear audio prompts and visual indicators
help guide the responder throughout the rescue.
The AED Plus is available in semi-automatic and fully automatic
configurations, with optional ECG display capability depending on the
configuration selected.

Real CPR Help®
During CPR, the ZOLL AED Plus measures chest-compression performance and
provides real-time audio and visual feedback to help the rescuer maintain
appropriate compression rate and depth.
If compressions are too shallow, the device can prompt the rescuer to
"Push Harder." When appropriate compression depth is reached,
the AED can provide positive feedback such as "Good Compressions."
An adaptive metronome also helps guide compression rate.
The AED Plus display provides additional visual CPR information, including a
compression-depth indicator, so rescuers can receive immediate guidance while
performing CPR.
One-Piece CPR-D-padz®
The ZOLL AED Plus uses CPR-D-padz®, a one-piece adult electrode system
designed to simplify pad placement. Anatomical illustrations help guide proper
positioning, while the CPR hand-placement landmark assists the rescuer with
compression positioning.
The CPR-D-padz® contain the sensor used by Real CPR Help® to measure
compression performance and communicate that information to the AED Plus.
ZOLL specifies a 5-year shelf life for CPR-D-padz® when
stored according to the manufacturer's requirements. The electrode package
also includes rescue accessories such as scissors, gloves, a barrier mask and
other supplies.
Adult & Pediatric Rescue
The ZOLL AED Plus supports both adult and pediatric rescue.
Adult treatment uses the included CPR-D-padz®. For pediatric patients,
separately available ZOLL Pedi-padz® II can be used.
Pedi-padz® II are designed for children under 8 years old or weighing less
than 55 lb.
When pediatric electrodes are connected, the AED Plus recognizes them and
adjusts its defibrillation therapy for the pediatric patient.
Long-Life, User-Replaceable Batteries
The AED Plus operates on ten user-replaceable Type 123A lithium batteries.
ZOLL specifies approximately 5 years of typical standby battery
life under recommended conditions.
Because the AED uses replaceable lithium batteries rather than a proprietary
rechargeable battery pack, battery replacement can be straightforward when the
device indicates that service is required.
Automatic Self-Testing
The ZOLL AED Plus performs automatic self-tests to help monitor device readiness.
These tests check important components including battery capacity, electrode
connection, ECG and charge/discharge circuitry, CPR circuitry, software and
audio functions.
Automatic self-testing does not replace routine AED inspections. The readiness
indicator, electrode expiration date, battery condition and included response
supplies should still be checked regularly according to your AED maintenance
program.
Rugged AED Design
The ZOLL AED Plus carries an IP55 rating, providing resistance
to dust and moisture for use in a variety of public-access and emergency-response
environments.

Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic
The ZOLL AED Plus is available in both semi-automatic and fully automatic
configurations.
A semi-automatic AED analyzes the patient's heart rhythm and,
when a shock is advised, instructs the responder to press the shock button.
A fully automatic AED analyzes the rhythm and automatically
delivers an advised shock after warning rescuers to stand clear.
Choose the operating mode that best matches your organization's AED program
and training requirements.

and depth and can prompt the rescuer to improve compression performance.
How long do ZOLL CPR-D-padz® last?
ZOLL specifies a 5-year shelf life for CPR-D-padz® when stored according
to the manufacturer's requirements. Electrodes should also be replaced after
use during a rescue.
How long do the ZOLL AED Plus batteries last?
ZOLL specifies approximately 5 years of typical standby battery life under
recommended conditions. Battery status should still be monitored through the
AED's readiness checks and routine inspections.
