The Advanced Training in Laparoscopic Suturing (ATLAS) training kit is a laparoscopic surgery simulator designed to deliver high level minimally invasive suturing training.
Limbs & Things’ ATLAS trainer helps to prepare surgeons for all forms of laparoscopic surgery, including those where the angle of view and allowance of suturing space is more restrictive.
The ATLAS course facilitates six task modules that act as a benchmark for minimally invasive training and progression:
Needle handling and positioning
Forehand suturing
Backhand suturing
Confined space suturing
Suturing under tension
Continuous suturing
Overview
Specifically design to aid in advancing surgeon’s skills in suturing and needle handling
Durable and long-lasting skin frame constructed from neoprene
Realism
Fully compatible with tools used during laparoscopic procedures
Includes components designed to mimic confined spaces on the internal anatomy
Versatility
The single base unit can be used for each of the six ATLAS tasks
Multiple pre-incised holes to vary entry point of the trocars
Cleaning
Surfaces can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth or sponge
Safety
Use caution when handling and cleaning electrical components of this trainer
