Description

Blue Guns are inert training replicas only. They are not real firearms, are non-functioning, and are intended strictly for training and instructional purposes.

The Glock 43X MOS (Modular Optic System) is a factory-built optics-ready variant of Glocks Slimline 43X pistol chambered in 919 mm. The term MOS w/ No Top Plate refers to the firearm before any optic cover plate (or optic) is installed on the slide, meaning the slides optic cut is open and no protective or covering plate is in place.

Platform Overview

The Glock 43X MOS is engineered as a compact, concealed-carry pistol with a frame and slide optimized for mounting micro-red-dot optics. The MOS designation indicates that the slide has factory-milled cuts to accept specific optic footprints, typically requiring a separate cover plate or adapter plate for the optic to mount correctly.

No Top Plate Configuration

No optic cover plate installed: In the No Top Plate configuration, the slides optic cut is uncovered, exposing the internal mounting recess and mounting screw holes. This means the firearm is ready for installation of an optic or a protective plate that matches the selected sights footprint.

Ready for customization: This configuration is commonly chosen by users and businesses that intend to fit a specific red-dot sight and accompanying mounting hardware especially optics that may require adapter plates or specific mounting patterns.

MOS cut specifics: Glocks MOS slide cut is proprietary and does not include adapter plates as standard equipment, so the appropriate plate must be sourced separately to match the chosen optics mounting footprint.

Core Specifications (Standard Glock 43X MOS)

Caliber: 919 mm

Action: Safe Action® striker fired

Magazine Capacity: 10 + 1 rounds

Barrel Length: Approximately 87 mm (3.41 in)

Overall Length: ~165 mm (6.50 in)

Width (Overall): ~28 mm (1.10 in)

Weight (Unloaded): ~461 g (16.26 oz)

Frame Material: Polymer

Slide Finish: nDLC coated steel

Marksman Barrel: Match-grade Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB)

Accessory Rail: Slim single-slot rail on the frame for lights/lasers

These specifications align with standard Glock 43X MOS models and apply equally when the slide is supplied without a top plate.

Practical Considerations

Accessory planning: Customers selecting the No Top Plate option should plan which optic and mounting plate they will install, as neither optic nor plate is included from the factory.

Optic compatibility: Some micro-dot optics mount directly to the MOS cut with the correct plate; others require aftermarket adapter plates to match their proprietary footprints.

Holster fit: Holsters for the 43X MOS may differ from non-MOS models due to the optics cut and will often be tailored to accommodate an installed optic or plate.

Summary

The Glock 43X MOS w/ No Top Plate configuration denotes a factory-optic-ready 9 mm pistol with the slide prepared for red-dot installation but supplied without the protective or mounting cover plate. This setup gives businesses and end users flexibility to select and install their preferred optic system independently, while maintaining the standard dimensions and concealed-carry-oriented ergonomics of the Glock 43X MOS platform.
