Description

Blue Guns are inert training replicas only. They are not real firearms, are non-functioning, and are intended strictly for training and instructional purposes.

The Blueguns S&W Model 686 4" is an inert, full-scale training simulator modeled after the iconic Smith & Wesson L-frame .357 Magnum revolver. Fabricated by Rings Manufacturing from impact-resistant polyurethane with internal steel reinforcement, this trainer is designed to withstand the rigors of professional tactical training without warping or bending. Finished in high-visibility Law Enforcement Blue, it serves as a dedicated safety tool that provides an immediate visual distinction from a live firearm, making it ideal for classroom instruction and force-on-force drills.

The replica captures the exact external geometry of the 4-inch barreled 686, including the full underlug barrel, the adjustable rear sight profile, and the specific contours of the cylinder and frame. Because it maintains a precise 1:1 scale, it is an essential tool for holster manufacturers to create accurate molds and for law enforcement or civilian practitioners to practice weapon retention, tactical draws, and speedloader drills. The solid-block construction ensures long-term durability for high-impact training, while the available weighted versions offer a realistic balance and heft that mirrors the feel of a loaded stainless steel revolver.
