Description

Blue Guns are inert training replicas only. They are not real firearms, are non-functioning, and are intended strictly for training and instructional purposes.

The BlueGuns Taurus Model 85 2" Training Replica is an inert, non-functional simulator of the classic .38 Special snub-nose revolver. It is widely used for concealed carry drills, holster molding, and defensive tactics training.

Construction and Design

1:1 Scale Replica: Molded directly from an actual Taurus Model 85, ensuring precise dimensions for a perfect fit in standard J-frame or Taurus-specific holsters.

High-Impact Polyurethane: Fabricated from a rugged plastic resin that is reinforced with internal steel to prevent bending or breakage during physical combat training.

Fixed Configuration: The unit has no moving partsthe hammer, trigger, and cylinder are molded into a single solid piece to ensure maximum durability and safety.

Key Training Benefits

Holster Compatibility: Since it is an exact physical match, it is the industry-standard tool for custom holster makers and for practicing "quick-draw" maneuvers without wearing down a live firearm.

Safe Scenarios: The bright "Law Enforcement Blue" color provides immediate visual confirmation that the weapon is inert, making it safe for hand-to-hand weapon retention drills.

Weight Options: * Standard: Lightweight for all-day classroom instruction or basic handling.

True Weight: Balanced with internal weights to match the 17 to 21-ounce feel of a loaded steel-frame revolver.

Specifications

Model Compatibility: Replicates the standard 5-shot Taurus 85 with a 2-inch barrel.

Common SKU: FSM85 (Blue) or FSM85B (Black).

Maintenance: Resistant to oils, cleaning solvents, and weather, allowing for easy cleanup after outdoor "mud and dirt" tactical simulations.
