Why wear a mask?
Wearing a face mask has always been a common practice for medical professionals as it helps prevent them from spreading germs that come from the mouth or nose to their patients. However, wearing a face mask is extremely useful for anyone as it, along with social distancing, are major keys in preventing the spread of disease. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) especially recommends these practices for heavily populated areas anytime there is a risk of spreading illness, and even a cloth mask can help slow the spread of germs. CPR Savers & First Aid Supply sells these basic cloth masks but also provides some medical professional options as well to serve all types of disease prevention needs. Here is some important information about the variety of masks that we sell, from professional masks such as the N95 to day-to-day use masks like the cloth mask:
KN95 Masks: Like N95 masks, KN95 masks also are manufactured to filter 95% of particles and are known to be used as a substitute for N95 masks when they are in short supply. The key difference between N95 and KN95 masks are that KN95 masks are manufactured to fit Chinese standards and fulfill extra regulation requirements set by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to be used professionally. The KN95 mask is still a highly effective option for blocking particles and preventing the spread of disease.

Earloop Masks: Earloop masks, otherwise known as surgical masks, serve as a middle ground option between N95 Masks and simple home-made cloth masks where they have the simple design of a cloth mask but are built with medical professionals in mind and contain better filtration and face fitting options in order to be useful in the professional medical field.

Cloth Masks: Cloth masks are home-made style masks you typically see people wearing while walking out in public. These masks, while not intended for professional medical use, are still highly effective in preventing the spread of harmful disease (in combination with social distancing practices) during one’s day-to-day needs and is much more effective than not wearing a mask at all.

Face Shields: Face shields, otherwise known as spit shields, are an attachment worn on the head that acts as a 2-way physical barrier preventing spit from hitting someone’s face. Face shields are commonly used with an earloop or cloth mask to create a highly effective combination in preventing the spread of mouth and nose particles.
N95 Masks: The N95 mask, also sometimes called a respirator, is named as such because it blocks roughly 95% of particles larger than the microscopic size of 0.3 microns. The N95 mask is commonly used by medical professionals due to their effectiveness in preventing the spread of germs to their patients. These respirators must be properly fitted to one’s face to reach their claim of blocking 95% of contaminants.
