Is your CPR and AED Training Card current? How familiar are you with the C-A-B-D’s?

C = Chest Compressions performed in the center of the victim’s chest.

If the patient has no visible chest rise and fall and has a change of skin color, immediately initiate minimally interrupted chest compressions at a rate of 120 compressions a minute., switching rescuers every two minutes when possible.

A = Airway passage must be open in order for an unresponsive victim to breathe

The head tilt/chin lift method by gently lifting the chin with one hand and push back on the forehead with your other hand. To lift the chin, play your fingers on the bony part of the chin.

B = Breaths should be delivered until rescuer sees visible chest rise on the victim. Pinch the adults or child’s nose closed and give two normal breaths at one second per breath.

D = Defibrillator or AED - use as soon as possible.
